Event Profile
New to the Immortal Sport calendar, our Junior Triathlons are based on the BTF TriStars Junior Triathlon categories, with age categories starting from 8 years through to 14 years of age.
A number of race start times split by age categories.
- Wetsuits are compulsory for water temperatures <14°C, optional for water temperatures >14°C and <22°C, banned for water temperatures >22°C.
- The minimum permissible open water temperature in which children can swim is 11°C.
Off road bike route around paths being used for the run element of the senior races. The run routes will be an out and back on nearby paths.
Children are split into categories dependent on their age on the 31st December in the year of the competition. This means that a 7 year old can compete in a TriStars Start if they will be turning 8 before the end of the year.
